Back in the spring of 2004, the idea of a cheesecake business came after my morning walk through the covered bridge that borders our property. I was working from home as a “telecommuting” paralegal to my boss’ office in Baltimore, MD and I realized my kids were needing more of my attention in their schooling and care. I was trying to figure out what I loved to do (foodie) and it had to be fun. The idea of good, wholesome, delicious, flavorful cheesecakes took hold – thus the name Simply Cheesecakes was born. I create and bake our “artesian” cheesecakes out of my registered home bakery on our 30-acre farm where we raise our own eggs, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples (soon) and grass-fed sheep – naturally and sustainable.
Since then I have been creating and baking many favorites for individuals and their families and they have become a part of our family as well. I love being able to connect with everyone who comes to our place and share a “little bit of our peacefulness” that our farm and surroundings invoke. We really do live in a wonderful part of the country.
“My Happy Place” is baking and creating cheesecakes.
