Shortly after rising this morning, I glanced at the outdoor temperature and shook my head. It read 41.7 degrees. Are we at the end of spring heading to summer or in late fall heading towards winter? This kind of weather is so hard on all of us – farmers and those of us who plant in our gardens. Sure, the cold season crops (lettuce, spinach, peas, etc.) thrive with the cooler weather but our warm season crops (tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, etc.), want warmth and more sun. I know I thrive with having the sun out more.
So, in honor of warmer weather coming, I’ve changed our featured flavors to seasonal favorites – NY Style with Strawberries, Mark’s Mudtracks, Banana Split and Strawberry Shortbread – which I was told “it out of this world” from a client earlier this week. With summer, right around the corner (hopefully), don’t forget to call and order one (or more) of our cheesecakes for your graduation open house, summer BBQ party, family reunion, birthday party or anniversary celebration. Until next time, happily baking, Diane
